Description
Hunting in the Rocky Oak Hills, Mountain Basins and Desert Foothills of the Sonoran Desert is not a hunt for the meek of heart. However, these challenges are some of the reason that hunters desire a huge Mule deer from Sonora. Long glassing sessions, rough backcountry, and many different things that poke, bite, or sting you, makes this challenge a more rewarding hunt for sure. With our head quarters being at Rancho San Francisco a 150 year old 7 generation ranch. Our partners in Sonora have worked hard to develop these ranches for trophy deer. Roads have been built, springs have been developed and a year around feeding program has been implemented to make it a prime location for deer to survive. Between the 3 adjoining ranches they have access to almost 80k acres of prime Sonora mule deer habitat. As required by law you will have a Sonoran resident guide as well as an American guide to accommodate you on your hunt. 2:1 guide/client. Expert guides know the terrain, know where to look for the mature bucks, and will put you onto a trophy buck. Hunting will mostly consist of high rack transportation, we will also use glassing and spot and stalk style methods in some areas. Clients are advised to shoot 300-500 yards as well as prepare for fast close up shot of 100 yards or less.
